Celebrating One Year of Ortho Stat: A Milestone in Urgent Orthopedic Care
Ortho Central's Ortho Stat clinic opened its doors on November 28, 2022, with a mission to provide efficient orthopedic care without the need for appointments.
The clinic's strategic placement inside the Ortho Central office, just north of the Norman Regional HealthPlex, guarantees accessibility for anyone in need of immediate attention for bone and joint injuries.
Dedicated Orthopedic Specialists in Norman
At the core of Ortho Stat's success are its board-certified orthopedic specialists, Joe Bourland, PA, ATC, and Jordan Hobbs-Redd, PA-C. Both are committed to providing personalized care.
Bourland's background in athletic training paired with Hobbs-Redd’s Masters of Health Science and a certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants seamlessly aligns with the diverse injuries they treat each week.
Comprehensive Orthopedic Services
Ortho Stat stands out by offering essential services to anyone ages two and up, such as splinting, bracing, casting and access to on-site digital X-rays, MRI and CT scans. This comprehensive approach ensures that Ortho Stat can take care of all injuries.
Impactful Numbers
In the last year, Ortho Stat has become a vital resource for the community. The clinic has had around five thousand total visits, with nearly 900 patients seeking care on weekends alone.
Among these, 555 patients have received treatment for broken or sprained ankles and 363 have been treated for broken or sprained wrists.
These numbers represent real families that have been positively impacted by care received at Ortho Stat.
A Year of Firsts
The first patient seen at Ortho Stat was a Norman Regional Health System healer -- Steven Sheriff. He came in on opening day!
