Norman Regional has employed five physicians and their clinical team to create a new orthopedic clinic for the health system. The physicians were formerly with Oklahoma Sports Orthopedic Institute.
The physicians are Jim Bond, MD, Ted Boehm, MD, Brian Clowers, MD, Richard Kirkpatrick, MD, and Zakary Knutson, MD. They will continue to see patients at their current Norman and Midwest City clinics, which have been renamed Ortho Central. The acquisition also includes a surgery center located at 3400 W. Tecumseh Rd., Suite 301 in Norman.

Ortho Central offers comprehensive orthopedic care to patients with sports injuries, degenerative diseases or orthopedic conditions that affect their ability to move.
“We are focused on maximizing mobility while minimizing pain,” Dr. Bond said. “This partnership allows us to provide our patients even better care. They will still get the same great care at the same great facility with the same staff. But now they also get easier access to services within Norman Regional Health System. It’s really a win-win.”
Ortho Central’s Norman clinic is located at 3400 W. Tecumseh Rd., Suite 101. The Midwest City clinic is located at 1624 Midtown Pl., Suite A.
